Dr Hertess specialises in breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift procedures as well as abdominoplasty, liposuction, face/neck lift, hand surgery, ear and eye surgery.
Her diligent work in skin cancer treatment, surgery and treatment of dermatological skin conditions continues.
A member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, she offers skill, care and proficiency in all areas of surgical and non surgical medical treatment as a specialist plastic surgeon.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Dr Hertess graduated from Melbourne University Medical School in 1986 after completing her science degree.
She spent an additional eight years training in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
In 1993 Dr Hertess obtained her specialist qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In 2014 Dr Hertess obtained her Australian Dermatology Diploma.

RACS was founded in 1927 and its core focus is maintaining high surgical standards in Australia and New Zealand.
ASPS is the peak body for reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeons in Australia. Members are specialist plastic surgeons accredited by the Commonwealth Government of Australia.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons is the world’s largest plastic surgery speciality organisation. An ASPS plastic surgeon must meet rigorous educational standards.
ASAPS is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest peak bodies for cosmetic surgery for more than 40 years. It helps patients find world-class aesthetic plastic surgeons.
This international body was founded in 1970 and has more than 3200 members across 103 countries. Members must be sponsored by two active members and pass a rigorous review process.
To join AHSS, surgeons must have FRACS membership (or equivalent), be a registered surgical specialist in Australia, and have a minimum two years post-Fellowship experience in hand surgery.
AMA is an organisation representing registered medical practitioners across Australia. AMA promotes doctors as well as the health needs of patients.
