ABOUT DR HERTESS
With over 17 years of surgical experience Dr Hertess offers patients
a unique female perspective dedicated to making goals a reality.
After training in Melbourne and Brisbane she moved to Cairns in
1991. Dr Hertess has three children and enjoys a range of outdoor
activities.
Dr Hertess is skilled and proficient in all areas of cosmetic
surgery including breast surgery, abdominal surgery, liposuction
and facial surgery. Dr Hertess also helps patients rejuvenate tired
looking faces with the most advanced skin and non surgical injectable
wrinkle treatments.
To keep her clinical skills current, Dr Hertess regularly attends
Australian and International conferences.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Dr Hertess is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (1981)
and underwent her internship and residency at St. Vincent’s
Hospital in Melbourne. After two years at St Vincent’s Hospital,
Dr Hertess moved to Queensland and continued her surgical training
at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Cairns Base Hospital.
She commenced specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide and continued
further plastic surgery training at Princess Alexandra Hospital
and Royal Brisbane Hospital. In 1993 Dr Hertess obtained her specialist
qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
