Can I breast feed after breast augmentation surgery
During your consultation with your surgeon, one of the aspects for discussion is implant placement.
Some surgeons will place the implant ‘subglandular’ which situates the implant above the chest wall and under breast tissue.
Plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr Hertess prefers to place the implant ‘submuscular’ which situates the implant under the muscle. Breast tissue will fall naturally over the muscle. With the incision at the inframammary fold (under the breast), the milk ducts are not compromised and the option to breast feed is possible.
